How can we revitalize an unattended village that has been cut off from its neighbouring communities, and how can diverse groups coexist and flourish together as vibrant neighbours? At the core of these questions lies the idea of how people and places can develop a sense of familiarity with their surroundings. The beginning of an answer can be found by reflecting on the essence of our own identity and the processes that fragment it. In this contest, my ambition is to explore the notion of fragments by contemplating the intrinsic nature of disconnected places and diverse communities, and by discovering these fragments, I aim to connect or assemble them and at times deliberately separate them to give shape to new possibilities.
